Love your clarinet. I play the Buffet R13. But I LOVE that sax!!! I don’t play a Sax. But that is a freaking beauty 💃🏻
I bought the European Legere synthetic reed!!! I LOVE IT. so much easier and sounds great. Thank you ❤💃
Wonderful!
Hell yea
Bro sounds like butter~! 🧈 That is just about one of the best, smoothest tones I've ever heard.
This is so beautiful! Must have taken a lot of practice
Good to practice low
the best!
Dom7 cycle! 3517, thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for watching!
Ok. I looked again and the European reed is for BASS clarinet 🤦🏻♀️ again they sent me the wrong one
Legere European cut #4
Hello, what reeds do you use? Thanks
I ordered the European synthetic reed. It’s so big. I couldn’t get my ligature around it 🤷🏻♀️. No im not talking dirty 😂.
Surprising! I find the légères to be thinner that cane. You playing European cut?
@@GregoryAgid wide. It’s wide. Maybe they made a mistake and it’s for a sax
🔥
Love Buddy.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@GregoryAgid I just lifted his solo on “I’ll Remember April” from ‘54. He does some textbook-defying harmonic stuff on some V chords. I like the shapes of his lines. They are often rangier than those of your average bebop sax or trumpet player.
@@richardwhiteman7429 Ha, that is certainly the catch with clarinet players! We have a huge range!
Tank you
So. I bought the European cut synthetic reed. It’s giant!! Like a doctors tongue depressor 😳 my ligature can’t hold it 😂
Wooo! 🔥🎶
@@amiema3775 ❤️
What song is this? Sounds amazing :D
So your not pressing register key
Yes, I am using the register key! Some people can jump the 12 without the register key.
That was beautiful 🔥
😳 jeez dude
Great job. Sounds so smooth and gorgeous tone
I’m going to try the lip technique
I do it with my diaphragm. Is that incorrect. I also play the flute
🔥visiting family in California. Played duets with my former teachers. We had a blast. Swinging that jazz!!💃
Giant Steps?
oh yea
Wow! It's a bass clarinet, not a flute! 😂 Great. Miss my bass.
The bass clarinet is so cool.
I love my bass clarinet so much. I also love my clarinet though, it's just different reasons why I love them both. ♥️
Both incredible instruments
Love that sound. Great tone 💃
Beautiful. All of you. Gregory. Love that last note. Gorgeous
😳
Hi Gregory, a question for you, if you don't mind. I've picked up, that the sax players have an articulation to swing their eightnotes in stacks of four, that goes something like Ti-Da-Ha-Ta (McPherson). Is there a similar articulation for the clarinet?
Love this
I love these warm ups. i use them all the time. Thank Prof. Agid
Bravo! 🎉
Greetings from Srilanka
Yo!!!!! That’s very cool. Thanks for watching.
Wow soo informative.pls more videos
More to come!
Absolutely love the licks and the lesson. BTW : I am a pianist, but mostly listen to other melodic instruments - cl, fl, sax, trpt, tbn, guitar etc. instead of listening to other pianists. It’s more rewarding that way…
une gamme patatonique 😂
🙌
je fait in peux de saxophone
Beautiful.....❤
Thanks you 🙏
Can you give me tips on how to go over the break without it just screeching
I surly will make a video
My advice is make sure that you’re covering all your holes, make sure your embouchure isn’t moving, I personally struggle with my embouchure moving when I play and it will cause a squeak because you’re reed has an unstable surface to vibrate on, and going higher makes the reed vibrate much quicker, and it needs a more stable surface to vibrate at fast speeds
man stuff like the flagpole sessions were awesome. Constraint a guiding force of creativity
Fabulous. I’m going to work on that. And the Jazz Poem ♥️🙏🏻🎵🎵
When growling, do you change the tone in your throat with different notes?
Nicely said Greg it can apply to so many things in life besides Music.
Thanks Wayne! 💯💯
It's great
Idk if this is even a thing, I’m not sure. GameCube?
Thank you for such a clear explanation of these techniques. It was very helpful to see you use the technique without the clarinet.
Thanks for watching! Happy to know I could help.
So you don’t create vibrato with your diaphragm like when playing the flute ? It’s with your lip? Wow. I have been using my diaphragm 🤦🏻♀️. I play the flute also. Just started clarinet this year.
I feel like since there is much more pressure on your diaphragm when playing the clarinet, it is a lot easier and controlled when using your lip/throat.
Using lips, vibrato becomes more expressive and it’s easier for you to get into tune
Listening you from France !🎵
Love it! I am French. I have family everywhere in France. Thank you for watching.
